What is this?
Join Jessica and Rana for a 90 minute required training for those volunteers who are interested in caring for members living with dementia. Or join the class if you are interested in being more skillful with friends, family and neighbors experiencing cognitive decline.
You will learn skills in communication, heading issues off at the pass, responding to challenging behavior and understanding of your scope as a volunteer. Compassion and knowledge can go a long way to create a better world for our community members who live with a cognitive disorder like Alzheimer's, etc.
Rana is the executive director and Jessica is the associate director of Jamie's Place. They have extensive experience as both caregivers and educators.
We will have Blue Star coffee as well!
