What is this?
Join Laura Gunnip of Fireweed Print Shop for an ornament making workshop. We will learn how to letterpress print with antique wood type to write words of inspiration, honor our kin or mark the new year. We will be brainstorming ideas and demonstrating printing techniques. All materials provided. This creative and interactive session is open to all levels. Bring an open heart and a willingness to try for a sweet session of creativity and togetherness.
Local artist Laura Gunnip runs the community print shop and art studio, Fireweed Print Shop, located on the Twisp Works Campus. They help students of all ages engage in the radical act of creative self knowledge through letterpress and printmaking classes. Gunnip graduated from the Evergreen State College then earned a Masters of Printing from Bradford College in England before moving to the Methow Valley in 2007.
