Are you interested in sharing a conversational space where we learn from each other’s stories across generations?  Would you enjoy an opportunity to hear voices and perspectives spanning youth and elders in our community?

If so, please join us for this social learning story circle, hosted by Joshua Porter and students in the Sustainability Pathways program with Western Washington University.

Story circles offer a simple and structured way to learn from each other’s lived experiences, and to celebrate both our personal and collective local knowledge. No preparation is required.

Our theme this round is sustainability. There will be a brief introduction on sustainability and its dimensions of community health, economic vitality, social justice, and environmental quality. Then we will have some guiding questions to prompt stories about what sustainability has looked like in practice in our lives.

This is an interactive gathering that is designed for the practice of listening to make room for new insights and learning across generations.

We will gather in Twisp Park. Feel free to bring a chair or blanket to sit on if you like.

All ages are encouraged to join!
