As our Methow at Home membership grows and ages we want to address the importance of
prevention in the successful aging process. We feel by recognizing and addressing areas that
are current or potential concerns will allow our members to stay in their homes longer.
We look to our volunteers to become part of this “prevention team”. You are the ones that are
directly interacting with our members and may see some potential or current issues of concern
before they become life altering events.
Join us for a presentation and discussion with a local Occupational Therapist with over 30 years
of experience in providing the prevention model to clients aging in place.

Jan has worked as a Geriatric Occupational Therapist for over thirty years and has clinical and
managerial experience in Skilled Nursing facilities, Adult day health, rehabilitation, Assisted
Living facilities and Home Health. She moved to the Methow four years ago with her partner
Don and enjoys skiing, hiking, gardening and anything having to do with textiles.
