Methow At Home
Are you interested in sharing a conversational space where we learn from each other’s stories? Are you curious to hear stories from fellow community members about times we have experienced big shifts in our perspectives? Would you like to practice listening and learning across differences? Would you enjoy an opportunity to hear voices and perspectives from multiple generations? If so, please join us for a social learning conversation, hosted by Joshua Porter of the Community Learning Lab and Western Washington University. This will be an interactive gathering that is designed to make space to hear each other and build understanding. Your stories have real value. Tell a neighbor. Invite a friend. Bring a family member. All are welcome.
Joshua Porter lives in Twisp and is Director for the Community Learning Lab, a Methow Valley based sustainability residency program for WWU undergraduate students that integrates professional work experiences with academic courses in sustainability. He has been teaching interdisciplinary environmental studies courses through Huxley College of the Environment since 2014. Joshua is a place-based educator at heart, and facilitates community-engaged programs that celebrate local knowledge through stories.
