Book Discussion with Dr. Raleigh Bowden: Being Mortal by Atul Gawande

Being Mortal  by Atul Gawande, physician, through his story and the stories of those he serves, provides insight into the journey and challenges we face during the last stages of life and death.  He suggests strategies for us to do better caring for ourselves and those we love. Dr Raleigh Bowden will facilitate discussion and reflection on the topics raised by the book for a small group. This group will meet once a week for 3 weeks, dividing the book into three parts.

Books are available in small and large print at the Twisp Library, you can check out a copy: Tuesday and Wednesday 10-2 & 3-7 or Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10-2. 
Please read the first three chapters, pp.1-78 for the first meeting.

First Session: Chap 1-3 up to page 78
Second session: Chapt 4-6 up to Page 148
Last session: Chap 7-8 up to page 250.
